We are currently looking to recruit for the following positions

Eastern European Women’s Support Worker (3 posts)

As part of a multi-agency partnership project funded by The Big Lottery Fund we are ;looking to recruit three posts to work specifically with women from Eastern European Countries with experience of domestic abuse.

Applicants must have a feminist understanding of domestic abuse and knowledge of the causes and impact this has on women.  The successful applicants will have experience of providing one-to-one support and will have appropriate language skills.  We are looking to recruit a 30 hour post to cover Ross-shire, 28 hours post to cover East Ross & Caithness & Sutherland and a 21 hur post to cover the Lochaber area.

Women’s Support Worker (Mid, East & Western Ross)  – 37 Hours per week (including evening and week-end work)

The post holder will be responsible for providing practical and emotional support to women with experience of domestic abuse on a refuge and outreach basis.

Applicants must have a feminist understanding of domestic abuse and knowledge of the causes and impact this has on women.  The successful applicant will have experience of providing one-to-one support from a person centred approach and of assessing need and developing support plans.

Children and Young Persons Support Worker – 21 Hours (evening and weekend work) – Funded by Scottish Government until March 2015

The post holder will be responsible for delivering a service which provides individual person-centred support and awareness raising sessions within home (including refuge), community and educational settings.

Applicants must have a feminist understanding of domestic abuse and knowledge of the causes and impact this may have on children and young people.  The successful applicant will have experience of providing support to children and young people with diverse needs including assessing need and developing support plans.

Maintenance Officer – 20 hours per week Maternity Cover.  Starting date 15th September 2014 for 9-13 months

Maintenance Officer required for general maintenance and upkeep of building housing 5 flats, 2 bedsits and offices in Dingwall. The successful applicant will be required to join the PVG Scheme.

 

Full driving licence and access to transport required for all support worker posts.

PVG Disclosure will be required.
