16 Days of Action

25 November 2015

Today is the international day to end violence against women and the start of the 16 days of action.

The 16 Days of Action against Gender Violence is a global campaign to raise awareness about violence against women .

The 16 Days of Action begins on 25th November on UN International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10th December, Human Rights Day. The campaign spans these 16 days to highlight the link between violence against women and human rights.

Ross-Shire Women’s Aid are marking the 16 Days of Action and raising awareness in our local community by displaying Christmas Trees decorated with messages from Women, Children and Young People who are supported by our service.

This years campaign focuses on peace at home and by placing Christmas trees across the area we are asking anyone who sees these to think about what they can do on an individual basis to help end violence against women

If you would like to support Ross-Shire Women’s Aid you can text 70070 with ROSS46 plus the amount you would like to donate .
